Today I'm going to write in english, my few english speaking friends deserve to read me once in a while don´t you think?
Well, today´s issue is going to be about how to generate leads with a low advertising budget. it is still everyday business for small companies to strugle with its advertising spending, as they have to decide whether to use it on traditional media vs the use of technology driven medias to generate leads to their websites or stores.
Here are a few tips on how to use a very small amount (or none) of your advertising budget to succesfully generate leads for you company.
One of the very basics of Lead Generation, is to segment your customer (and contacts) database. Doing this, allows you to deliver the right message to the right people whenever it´s posible. You can do this by asking the right questions during any interaction of your potential customers. This allows you to design specific promotions and products (if you sell any custom made products). You can do this by taking a closer look at your website statistics, having a contact form over the counter and having your employees to fill it out whenever they interact with a potential customer. It is important that you always ask for questions regarding demographics and psychographics (gender, age, interests, media usage, etc.).
Create a referall strategy, you need to collect the most amount of contacts in order to enlarge your convertion rate. Ask employees and current customers to refere their friends and family, and do this on a day to day basis.
Use social media wisely. The creation of a Facebook page and a Twitter account will generate interest in people that are looking for the products or services that you offer. Using small oriented messages with promotions and information will allow search engines to send you the right people your way (and to your company).
Create partnerships with other local business that share common customers (not products). For example if you are a cooking school, partner with a cooking supply store. This way both will take advantage of your current customers and leads.
